Saint Rita, there are wounds inside me older than my faith. Things done to me, and things I have done. They surface at strange moments and bleed as if they were fresh. Come into those places. Let the light of Christ touch what has been hidden. Heal me not just on the surface, but at the root. I am not asking to forget — I am asking to be free.
